BAU Congress China

ALUCOBOND® in the BAU Congress China (hereinafter referred to as BAU) which was held in the China National Convention Center during June 23-24, 2015 in Beijing. The congress has attracted a total of 53 exhibitors from 8 countries and 3,032 trade visitors from 11 countries, drawing the attention from industry professionals and media press including architects, property developers and owners as well as building consultancy and construction specialists from the construction and building sector.

A number of senior officials from the German Federal Government and renowned architects from both China and overseas were also present at the Congress as VIPs, including Professor Yehao SONG from Tsinghua University, Mr. Ke ZHANG from ZAO/standardarchitecture, Mr. Angel Cerezo from Batle | Roig Arquitectes, Professor Martin Hass, founding member and vice president of the DGNB as well as Mr. Boris Schade-Bunsow, Editor-in-chief at Bauwelt.

ALUCOBOND® have engaged Charlie Huang, lead designer of K11 with the task to design our exhibition space. Different from the conventional exhibition style, we adopted a form of art gallery to showcase the various applications of ALUCOBOND®. Every article you see in our exhibition hall is made of ALUCOBOND®. Paintings that pay tribute to art masters Mark Rothko and Piet Mondrian decorated the hall, together with The Plus +6 Light by Charlie and The Edge 01 floor lamp by Austrian artist Martin Mostbock which was used in Guardians of the Galaxy, a film adaptation of the Marvel comics. Utilizing the ALUCOBOND® naturAL Reflect, Charlie has also reinterpreted Picasso’s Acrobat on a Ball in the form of a sculpture. The exhibition space that combined diverse art design elements with the quality of ALUCOBOND® material has been well received by visitors.
