What will happen when I take ED treatments?
You can expect stronger, longer-lasting erections, if you are sexually aroused. Each ED treatment takes a certain time to take effect, and lasts for a different period of time.
|Time to take effect||Lasts for|
|Sildenafil (50mg)||1 hr||4 hours|
|Tadalafil (10mg)||30 mins||36 hours|
|Tadalafil Daily (2.5mg)||30 mins (3 days for full effect)||Continuous effect|
What ED treatment is best for me?
This depends on your sex life and preferences. All treatments we offer promote stronger erections, whilst working in slightly different ways - giving you the choice to find what suits you best.
Sildenafil or Viagra: Takes one hour to work and lasts for 4 hours. This is best for first-time users, and those who aren’t having regular sex - and will take it just when needed. Sildenafil is cheaper than Viagra.
Tadalafil: Works in 30 mins and lasts for 36 hours. This is best if you want harder erections over a longer period of time (for example over a weekend).
Tadalafil Daily: Works in 30 mins and lasts for 36 hours. This is best if you don’t want to plan sex around your treatments, as it keeps a baseline level of Tadalafil in your body all day every day. This means you can get erection whenever needed, without planning.
Can you take ED treatments long-term?
Yes, clinical studies show that it's safe and effective to use long-term. It won’t make your ED worse, and usually improves things.
Why are blood tests important when you have ED?
ED can often be a symptom of health problems, such as low testosterone, high cholesterol or diabetes. We advise you to include blood tests in your order, to check for such underlying health problems.
What are the side-effects?
Most men don’t experience side effects from ED treatments. The most common side effects when they occur are headache, indigestion, hot flushes, nausea, visual changes, nasal congestion and dizziness. A full list of possible side effects is available in the Patient Information Leaflet, included in your box. You should always read it carefully before taking your treatment. If you have further questions, you can book a call with our clinicians prior to an order.
Why is Sildenafil cheaper than Viagra?
Viagra and Sildenafil, both have the same active ingredient (Sildenafil) and are equally effective.
Sildenafil is the generic unbranded version of Viagra. Viagra was the brand name used by Pfizer: the first company to license the treatment Sildenafil (a process which costs pharmaceutical companies a significant amount).
Once the Viagra patent expired, other manufacturers could make it at a lower cost. This is a good thing for you, as now you can get a cheaper medication which is just as effective.
